On September 10, 2002, NIST placed an order with Measurements International for a Model 2100B Power Calibration System. This "Blue Box Solution" was developed to calibrate watt meters, energy meters, watt hour meters, watt transducers and VAR meters. The system was delivered April 16, 2003.
NIST is a non-regulatory federal agency within the U.S. Commerce Department's Technology Administration. NIST's mission is to develop and promote measurement, standards, and technology to enhance productivity facilitate trade, and improve the quality of life.
The Measurements International Model 2301B uses the latest DSP processing technology to control sinusoidal currents and voltages. It is designed to provide high accuracy calibrations and to test a wide range of electricity metering instrumentation.
The NIST Laboratories conduct research that advances the nation's technology infrastructure and is needed by U.S. industry to continually improve the products and services.
